“Konoba Bepo” is located in a small Adriatic Croatian fishing town called Tribunj, right in the center of town, and only a 100 meters from the towns beautiful “marina Tribunj”. This family restaurant was first started back in 1987 by Ratko (Bepo) and Biserka Jerkov, a husband and wife who are very involved in the business to this day. Their tradition is being passed down to their son Josip who is, along with his parents, very successful in continuing this family tradition and taking the restaurant and its service to a whole another level.
Tribunj is a small Mediterranean fishing town. The architecture is very traditional for this part of Europe. Small, narrow streets, stone houses are among many characteristics which bring people here from all over the World. The oldest, and the original part of town was actually on an island, which today is connected to land by a small stone bridge. Its nearest bigger city is Šibenik, only 15 km east.
Town is located right in the middle of two Croatian National Parks, “Kornati” archipelago and the beautiful “Krka” waterfalls. The oldest records of town’s existence date back to 1463 when its name was Tribahunj. The city’s defensive stone walls, which can be seen today, were built to protect from Venetian invasion.
Tribunj attracts many artists, who use the location for its many inspirations. At the same time it is a very relaxing vacation town, and many of the guests are return customers which is a town’s pride point. Tribunj is one of Sibenik Riviera’s top destinations. Among many events in town, the most popular ones are the traditional “Donkey Race”, and a “Fishermen’s Night”.
